Unlike Copper network cabling, Fiber optic cabling CAN be spliced by a trained technician, potentially saving you from having to repull an existing fiber that needs moved or extended. PTS has capabilities to Fusion spice onsite when that need arises.

Existing Cabling & Closet Cleanup
Over time, existing cabling infrastructures can fall into disarray. Sometimes it is caused by rapid growth, high IT personal turnover, or just neglect. This can create a variety of problems for a network, ranging from unattractiveness to lack of functionality. PTS can assess your situation and come up with a most ideal recommendation based on your current situation. Some of following actions can be taken:
- Tone, Test and relabel existing horizontal cables to verify their functionality.
- Re-jack exisiting cables at the desk top, test and certify.
- In the closets, sometime unpatching, and repatch an entire closet over a scheduled outage is the best course of action.
Demo of Existing Infrastructure
Sometimes legacy cable is left in the ceilings of office space. As office space is left and occupied, if the prior owners left their old cabling in the ceiling. This creates a number of issues, including fire hazard, code violations, lease violations, and it creates additional confusion for new installations. Our technicians are trained to carefully identify existing cabling and legacy cabling and remove it without disrupting existing service.
